Howdy and help

Hi, hoping a multipla owner might have had some experience with the following issue.

I have a 2001 multipla 1.9 diesel that has suddenly started to cut out after half an hour driving. I initially called out the breakdown service who couldn't find anything wrong mechanically and suggested it might be a problem with an electronic sensor.

The engine simply cuts out but will restart after five or ten minutes rest.

I'm hoping to get some input here because if I take it to a garage they won't be able to replicate the problem without driving it for half an hour.

Any ideas?

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Have you tried asking your query in the Multipla section?

Re: Howdy and help

Thanks guys - I'm almost certain the crank sensor tip is bang on - Google search came back with a walkthrough from this forum that described the symptoms exactly. Thanks again - I'll post once it's fixed!

Smile Re: Howdy and help

that has saved me a heap of money guys thanks. Just got the sensor changed. Only just taken it for a drive long enough to test whether it worked or not. And the answer is a big yes. Thanks again.
