Wink Hello!

Not enough?

Well, my first car was a 1990 FIAT Uno 60 SX Maggiora. I wanted a stock 60SX, but the dealer told me: "I have found this, the stock one will take six more months....". It had a leather driving wheel, custom upholstery and probably they had toyed with the engine, too. After a few weeks somebody stole the Maggiora badge. Until I tried to crossbreed her with an Opel Corsa I had nought a problem. I loved that car.

Until I got my current one.

Now I own a Punto Mk2 1.9 JTD HLX 5 doors. The only optionals are the ABS and the lateral bumpers.

In the family we have a long FIAT history.

The first was a 1100 "Rounded", followed by a 124, a 125 Idroconvert, a 125, a 131 SuperMirafiori Diesel, a Croma 2.0 CHT and a new Panda 1.2 with Dualogic shift.

The first second car of the family was a 600 Coloniale, followed by a Panda 30, a Panda 750 and now a loathed Lancia Y 1.2.

A brother does not buy FIAT for his religious beliefs, as he is a Milan AC Fan, and will never give money to the Agnelli family. He has always bought Renaults. His SuperFive caught fire spontaneously.

A brother lives in the US, and is interested in Alfa Romeo getting back to the US market. Moreover his mechanic owns an X-1/9.

Living in Italy helps.

Moreover, a lot of people in the past argued when FIAT workers were shafted, but it was the same people who also bought foreign cars.

In my family we never had real problems with our FIATs (except for a gear of the shift of the Idroconvert), but we always bought FIATs mostly to keep the money in the Italian economy.

Should have FIAT, Lancia and Alfa closed, we would have probably turned to British cars, or maybe a PSA group car.

Now, there are no more British cars...
