Hello, I just joined the forum. The main reason was in search of an answer to a problem I had, but I look forward to learning as much about my '79 Fiat Spider 2000 as I can.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Fiat Spiders are very rare cars on UK roads unfortunately You'll find some fellow owners in the Spider section though

Re: New Member Here

Yeah, I'm actually from the US, California to be exact, and they are pretty rare cars here too. I've only seen 3 in my town of 400,000 people, and only 2 of them run. Mine and one other.

Re: New Member Here

Your climate is a lot kinder than ours Over here they put so much salt on the roads in the winter and along with our damp, soggy weather old Italian cars don't last very long

Ironically though, when I was staying in LA a couple of years back we were driving through Studio City and bugger me there was a little Fiat 500 going the other way!

Re: New Member Here

Yeah, the town I live in is about a 2 hour drive north of Los Angeles. It's hot and dry here, so things stay preserved pretty well, the only major problem I have to deal with is sun rot on the plastic on the dashboard and back of the rearview mirror
