Multipla 1.6 Clutch

I am a 42 yr old mother of three kids and have no idea how cars are made up or anything. I bought a used Multipla 1.6 in October last year. It had 38000 kms on the clock. Within a week of driving it my clutch was playing up. Fiat put a new clutch kit in and skimmed the flywheel whatever that means. Six weeks later my clutch has gone again!!!! Can someone tell me if this is an inherant problem with these cars?? Where do I go search for more info? Tracey
