does it change with revs?
not sure as once the engine get hot the sound disappear...and cannot hear the sound anymore..only appear early morning when the engine is really cold.

i think i did rev but it get louder but disappear quickly once the engine get warm..turn off and restart could not get the sound again. have to see whether the sound appear again

any possibility...why you asking about rev....initially i thought the technician might forget to tighten the screw or something but if it is the sound should be continuoes..

hi,

I had this problem. The bottom pulley on the crank has a shock absorber in it. sounds like it needs a new one - about £60 + labour.

also check the other pulleys there are 3 I think - these can wear too as mine did at 95K
