My multipla is dangerous! Two tyres have blown within a year and a third was about to blow. Tracking continually found to be out.Suspension arm replaced tracking still dodgy.I get the tracking checked every 2 weeks yesterday front passenger wheel found to be wearing unevenly so garage swapped front wheels to back.Is this a common multipla problem ,what can I do next? I have no confidence in the car now . Also boot door springs open if I brake suddenly or even for no reason .The dog has fallen out twice and nearly been killed. Its as if the car is out to get me. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I would guess it's a suspension-related problem. Maybe excessivley worn components. How old is the car, and how many miles are on the clock?
If the tyre is wearing unevenly, why have they swapped front to back? They've just delayed the problem getting serious, not actually fixed the root cause of it :bang:
The boot opening will be a separate matter, but wouldn't have thought it should be that hard for them to fix. Unless the whole chassis is flexing excessively...

I would suggest to contact WIM (wheels in motion) www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk and contact Tony. He is the wheels geometry guru in the UK and gives free advice to people with wheel alignment problems. He may even take over and talk with your Fiat dealer directy without charging a penny. Even Lexus dealers direct their customers to him when they can't sort problems involving wheel alignment. Tony trusts only 6 tyre shops in all UK and may advise you to go to one of these centres which use the most sophisticates equipment. Unfortunately there is a lot of ignorance in this field... globally!!
Let us know and good luck.

The root problem is that FIAT recommend the tracking to be 2 degrees toe out and this causes excess wear on the inside of the front tyres.

Get the toe set to zero.

The handling will be altered but you will get used to it.

Another factor could be worn/soft front bushes on the wishbone. These can be replaced by polyurethane bushes which are far more hardy, £80 the set (front & rear) from www.superflex.co.uk/, a cheaper & better alternative than replacing the wishbones which are £50 each PLUS postage on eBay.
