can anybody tell me i have an 04 multipla 1.9 jtd central locking doesnt work as last owner lost the keys and only purchaced a chipped replacement, should i be able to lock and unlock the dors conventionaly with the key in the door as the lock wont turn.

thanks for the help stripped the lock out and found that the key i have is a replacement previous owner had changed the ignition barrell and not the locks so key wouldnt work in them a few mods on the lock tumblers with a file and all works well now with the same key as the ignition
