Hi, I have a 2003 petrol 1600. It was driven through flood water on my way home from work and ran fine, I used it later that evening and no problems.
The next day it started to miss fire so I checked and 3 of the sparkplug recesses were full of water.
I dried them out wd 40ed the leads and tried again, still missed so I checked the plugs, all ok. now it wont fire at all, spins over but no joy.
The fuel pump primes but when I took the connector to the fuel filter off no fuel appeared to be getting to the filter.
Thinking now it may be an ecu or crank sensor issue but not sure where/how to start.
Any ideas appreciated.
Cheers

Yeah getting a spark, I meant the plugs weren't fouled up at all.

Chances are you still have condensation in the plug sockets. Leave the plug leads off overnight to dry. Preferably after you have driven the car so that the latent heat of the engine helps to evaporate the moisture.

This happened last Wednesday and not had it running since. Last gad a look at it on Saturday which is when I discovered that fuel didn't appear to be getting to the filter.

Sorry missed the part about the fuel not getting through. Personally I would start there. If the pump is priming then fuel should be getting pumped through. Work your way back through the basics

If you have fuel in the tank and the pump is working why is the fuel not getting through?? Take the fuel cap off, maybe there is an air block ???? You will just have to apply logic to the process. Who knows if it is the ECU but typically starting with the simple things first coupled with a logical flow chart and going though a process of elimination. is always a good plan.
