How many left make for depressing reading! Dunno how accurate it is. But there are only 238 115 JTD SX on the roads! To make up for this I decided to treat mine to a lovely set of fitted mats. My wife is worried as it's the most excited I've been for about 10 years!

Not sure about anywhere around, but my dad is trying to resurrect bi-power for my mom (it's like her most favorite car of all time). And I must admit, you don't see them rolling round every day around :D Makes me believe it's for people who want to be unique :D

I've had 3 Diesels and now have a petrol one, interestingly there are now many more petrol models left on the road than jtd's , does that mean that 1.6 16v are more durable ?

When researching the purchase of our Multipla eight years ago I saw somebody outside their house with theirs I asked if they were pleased with it. They said they regretted going for the petrol. The deal was good for them but it needs torque and the diesel has it. That's why it gets used and wears out.

I love the petrol version , light and responsive, but high revving and lousy fuel consumption, my mechanic father in law, says that he has seen most diesel versions scrapped because of the cost of clutch and DMF replacement often between 8 & 900 quid !! Petrol clutch is about £200, I think that could make the difference between saving it or scrapping it.

Sadly, as mine nears it's 100k marker, it'll be time for a clutch/DMF in the very near future ( pedal biting on the floor ) and I too will have to weigh up whether it's actually cost effective to get the job done. If she had better body work then It would make the decision harder, so it's almost time to start looking for one that's in better condition with a recent clutch/DMF change already done me thinks :(

Pity you weren't looking when I sold mine. It was in near excellent cond in and out and as per my various posts had just done almost every wearable mechanical item including the DMF/Clutch (albeit having to do the job twice due to a Chinese copy LUK DMF )

I've noticed the fuel vapour when refuelling in a hot country with the Multipla diesel compared to our Kuga which has a vapour sealing thing around the nozzle.

That would've been perfect, but timing was never my strong point
