Hi guys.
I have posted in tech but thought I'd try you fine multi owners too.
I've got an elm 327 v1.5a and downloaded fiatecuscan.
I need to do my oil degridation light but can't get a connection to the car, just keeps timing out.
Do I need additional leads or software?
I'm at a loss here and not to savy with this kind of hardware.
Any help/pointers would be great.

Need a bit more information really. What model interface? USB or bluetooth? A link to were you bought it might help.
Computer operating system? Year of car and engine size / type.
You should not need any additional leads for a degredation reset. You did download MES from the official site http://www.multiecuscan.net/ ?

Not sure on model, its a wired usb obd2 from eBay, elm327 v1.5a running on windows 8.
Got the software from mes, '07 eleganza, 1.9 jtd multijet.
Other than that I'm pretty stuck on info and what to do.
Kinda lost with it.

Did you install the USB drivers that came with the interface of just let windows find them? Next thing to do is go to windows control panel and se what serial port numbers you have (the adaptor looks like a serial port to the PC) normally this is one or two but could be higher. The port number in the MES setup should match.

I think the best option is V1.4 or equipped with chip FT232RL.
