Just posting this to help others in same situation...
Summer coming, but air con not working in facelift Multipla.
Tried fuse, fuse 9 20A, yes working.
Air con button light comes on...Test feed at compressor pump for 12v, no voltage or clicking from the engine bay relay.
OK, could be the low pressure sensor that disables the system to limit damage.
Considered DIY recharge, but noticed that Halfords offer a recharging service for £30!, (April 2016).
Zoomed over double quick where very helpful chap tested system, noticed that there was very low pressure, and put a small amount in, whereby relay clicked and compressor engaged, result!
Continued filling system with engine running to desired pressure (on can gauge) and monitoring thermometer placed on fresh air vents in car. It was showing between 15-20C which was the aim, doesnt sound cold, or make sense, but it felt cold.
Air con was connected to RHS, smaller low pressure connection looking down on service ports, in front of air intake trunking. Refrigerant naturally leaks out of system over the years, so most cars need a periodic recharge over their life.
Air con was now wonderfully cold, result!, hope this helps others ,(y)
