Hi Multi folk
The top of my front drivers side strut is rattling around when driving it, knocking noise every now and then, is it easy to replace, or is it easier to just get a complete second hand strut off ebay
Also on the rear spring the stop rubber as fell off and sitting in the bottom of the spring, doesn't effect the car( apart from rattle a little ) but wondered if it would fail the mot

If the bearings gone a new strut is probably sensible / time effective. It's the same work pretty much, so...

MOT-man will like to see your rubber where it should be.

Pretty straightforward, but do yourself a favour and get some decent spring compressors.

Unless you like living life 'on the edge'.....

Rear bump stop isn't an MOT failure, but it would be worth pulling the old stop out before you take it in.
