Can't seem to figure out how to pop off the front courtesy light...don't want to force it :)
I'm guessing it needs a bulb as only one side working.

You have to take the whole unit off! I did it recently and made a right mess too as the book states to prise certain bits off with a flat head screw drive - which on the soft plastic is lovely! Then you have to unscrew everything just to get to the bulb! Then I discovered I had the wrong bulb and haven't felt the need to go through it all again....

Cheers. I found the front two screws and removed them... Got distracted and left it...got the switch cluster for the mirrors down easily but the large switch cluster I can't seem to shift.
Bet I don't have the right do are bulb either...going at it now!

Ok job done.
Bullet type bulb.
Two screws at the front of unit concealed behind buttons...pop thes off...then 2 more behind volumetric sensor. Getting this off Is the tricky bit.
There is a screwdriver/prising slot to the right...this isn't to prise but rather to put in a driver and lever the unit to the left...stick a finger up where the cluster for the mirrors was and shove down the volumetric unit...needs a bit of oomph...plane sailing after that.
You need to pop off the back of the light unit to access bulbs.
Bet the other one blows now
Marty.

It's all here (look for "MultiplaJTDELXinteriorlightreplacement.doc" in the electrics section:

MultiplaJTDELXinteriorlightreplacement.doc

The pictures and explanation in it are miles better than the (very poor) effort in the owners handbook. But then - we all know what the Italians think about electrics :)

Hi all

I bought an old Diesel 1.9ELX GTDin April from Gonnella Bros in Catford, London SE6 and tried in vain to get hold of a manual or Haynes to do simple jobs. Looking up on FF I could not find a string to remove the front light console (the interior light was not working). I had been tempted by the usual prise off with a flat blade screwdriver. Thankfully I did not force it after starting as found two screws exposed at the front and another two above the pull out volumetric sensor box. I attach images (I hope).

In the end the bulbs were fine so the problem may be elsewhere. The central id lights and rear boot light are working anyway so I think I shall skip it as the car will be banned in a few years time from London anyway in the ULEZ within the
South Circular where I live.

After doing it myself and researching again on FF I found the other thread and the link to:
