Had the hose through it when I removed the old stat, it flowed crystal clear both ways I done that to make sure all the paraflu up was gone, I have also tried the hoses both ways and it didn't change anything, on mine now if I follow the hoses the bleed screw is top connector on the stat could you check yours just for piece of mind, thanks
Just double checked hose with bleed screw is top on stat

I just looked mine. Bear in mind mine is 115hp so may be different to yours.
Anyhow the two hoses that go to heater go to back of stat on the bottom 2 positions of the three available...the one with the bleed screw being the upper of these two...ie the middle position..the top pipe goes to egr cooler...the front then you have large pipe going to rad and feed to egr cooler.

So at the back of stat...top pipe egr cooler...middle to heater pipe with bleed screw..bottom to heater without.

Just noticed I'm low on coolant!!...feck!

Same as mine then, I also have a 115 ELX so what can it be scratching my head now under my hat it's cold again

Not that I can feel, if I squeeze the main hoses for a while the top hose gets warm bottom stays cold so must be air in the matrix surely

No not yet I tried again weekend gone, the only thing left to try is the thicker metal pipe running across the engine, it is hot to the point where it changes to rubber and joins under the stat can't think what else to try, ill keep you updated

Rite had the 90 degree rubber pipe off on the right hand side of the larger metal pipe on the front of the engine, no damage or blockage so I'm stumped, as far as I can see there is no reason for hot water to flow through the matrix, tried the hoses the other way round again and still cold.

Are you sure your water pump is actually pumping?

Can you get hold of a length of clear pipe and replace one of the heater hoses with it? Perhaps you'll see from that whether or not water is actually being pumped round the system?

If you're sure theres no blockages, about the only thing it can be (to my mind) isthat your impellors have either rotted away (seen that before) or come away inside the pump.

The pump is new as the old pumps impeller came away in one piece, also I changed the thermostat as my car over heated going to work one morning, this pumps impeller is all metal so should be better I would think, thanks for the reply
