hi, I have recently done a spectacular job of snapping the cambelt and killing the engine on my fiat multipla 1.9 (03 plate) was wondering if anyone knows if the engine comes out thru the top or bottom and if the gearbox comes out to or if the is enough room to take out engine and leave gearbox in place?

Im sorry to hear that Anna was it neglected time scale or wster pump seizure, I cant give you info but someone on hete will im sure. Neil.

I have spent many a happy hour underneath a multi 1.9jtd engine....
and I cannot imagine theres enough room for it to get out of the top of the engine bay, only through the bottom.....unless their is a front crossmember that bolts on at the front ie impact bar, plus removal of front bumper and radiators, never been there though...
