My 2001 1.9JTD Multipla is difficult to start, especially after a run, so I intend to change the cam sensor in a bid to rectify the fault.
Is there a quicker way to replace the cam sensor without going through the complete aux & cam belt removal process?
Also, if I need to take the cam pulley wheel off how can I stop it moving when I put force onto the centre bolt?

Have you tried changing the crank sensor first? Poor/non starting with a warm engine is a classic symptom of a failed one. It's also a much easier job to replace than the camshaft sensor.

I'm in exactly the same position. Mine won't start at all. Have changed the Crank sensor but no result. Hope it is the Cam sensor. Had a procedure in mind, will try it at the weekend - weather dependant - and post here afterwards.
