what is that device on line between clutch master cyl and slave cyl with a bleed nipple on it, fluid coming out of front of it (corrosion ?) jtd 1.9 multipla

Thank you for the reply, yes, this was the offending item. So,reconditioned flywheel 250 Euro (Luk) ,new clutch kit 165 Euro (Luk) from motor factors. That device + pipe to master cylinder ,as sold (one piece)from Fiat Ireland ,109 Euro.
Total 724 Euro, approx 500 Sterling. An Angels wing would press the clutch pedal down now.Car is 02, 190,000 thousand miles (Two sunroofs) Any hints on keeping our beloved Multipla alive forever ?

Any hints on keeping our beloved Multipla alive forever ?
Learn how to use tools, and keep throwing new bits at it on a regular basis! (y) :p

Seriously though, a Multi isn't the best choice for those who can't do a fair bit of 'spannering' themselves.
There are some lucky folk out there whose Multis seem to go on and on without any major faults/work, but they're in the minority by a long way.
