What is the best way to drain the tank of it's contents?
I have £80 worth of diesel in it and certainly not giving it to the scrap man

If you're scrapping it, just drill a hole in the bottom?
Jack it up as high as you can on the right, drill a hole in the right-hand lower edge, put drain-pan underneath, then drop it down and jack the left.

Other than that, siphon it out.

any cheap fluid extractor will do it like this one for example although you can get them for cheaper no doubt

I used a drill pump from aldi for a fiver when I sold my last one left a couple of quid in it, it was done in about 2 minutes ?

I used a spare battery and wired the pump straight and directed the the pipe going to the fuel filter into containers. Took a while though.
