Hi all, just bought an 04 2004 Fiat Multipla 1.9jtd in very good condition.
I have 2 problems with it...

1 the heater blower doesn't work on any setting. I have looked all over the net and on here but everything posted with information about a fix doesn't tally with what I'm seeing even when there are pictures attached!"
I have removed the centre surround cover and can see the fan motor with wires going to it but they all seem OK, I have taken them off and checked the connections but all seem fine with no melting or wires broken (am I looking in the right place????

problem number 2 is the gear knob is very very stiff / tight to move is this a common problem to if so is there an easy fix
thanks in advance

Thank you so much for your attached articles, after finding the offending plug which was melted I chopped and reconnected the wires via spade terminals and.... I now have a fan blowing on all speeds along with an outside temperature displayed in the speedo clock.

just one more question I have read that the plug melts as it overheats due to the pollen filter being blocked! where is the pollen filter located ?? as I think this is my next job before tackling the stiff gear box

cheers once again

Underneath the plastic trim outside the car passenger side under the wiper arm
It's a long black plastic rectangle with rounded corners that just unclips
there's a phillips screw underneath at the front of another smaller rectangle cover
Remove the screw(careful not to drop it)
Remove the rectangle cover and slide out pollen filter

Thank you it wasn't to dirty so gave it a quick hoover and put it back in
another job off the to do list......now for those dreaded gear cables & rods
cheers

Bit like the stupid anti return valve on the washer line
Wtf is that all about
Wats wrong with a normal t connector

Wasn't aware there was one,
I suspect it's there to stop the fluid draining back down through the pump, so the tubes are always full (no delay in use).
