Anyone help?

I've just bought an '03 Toad but the interior mirror was missing, I picked up a replacement off t'internet but it looks like it slots onto a mounting plate - presumably bonded to the screen - is this right or does the mirror stem bond straight onto the screen, there's nothing there at the moment?

Plus - has anyone used vinyl wrapping on any of the internal fittings - grab handles, radio surround, console etc - if so how succesful was it?

Hi, re - vinyl wrap. Had some success with the gear stick surround and cup holder. Used some carbon fibre effect. It looked great apart from some localised lifting around edges probably due to the rubberised surface which was solved with a spot of glue but was a little messy. Both items were taken off and wrapping stretched to fit with a hair dryer. Multi was a 2001 ELX.

Thanks MCC - how easy was it to work with? Any pics? How scratch resistant do you think it will be - I want to do the ignition key surround.

Hi Dudleian, I guess it will depend on what/where you buy as to its durability. I didn't pay much on eBay as it was an A4 sheet, think it was just a couple of pounds but held up pretty good. I wanted to do more of the dash area but wasn't confident enough! Sorry I haven't any pics as no longer have the car? now have a newer model of multi which has a better surface finish ?
