It is that time if the year again. Service on my 03 round nose diesel. Had a couple of beeps recently when cold. Not the ice warning, but a engine control issue and an egr warning. Only when engine is cold and im pushing above 2k rpm.

Also a squeak developed on the nsf corner. Biting point is low on the clutch. Take off is jerky and im getting a lot of road noise, rumbling at speed. Not connected to engine revs.

Service and diagnostics is 405£.

Rear Wheel bearing defective. £205 fitted
Turbo hoses saturated with engine oil... root cause not known... yet

One or both sides? They are about 30 quid each and real easy to fit.

Just one. No intentions of paying £205. Waiting for final bill. Car still being worked on.

Road test revealed oil inlet hose to turbo has perished. Awaiting further info.
Drop link being replaced as knocking.
Could not find the squeak. Its inside the vehicle. Maybe behind dash. Passenger side. Sounds like metal on metal!?
Lower idle pulley squealing on tick over and take up.
Clutch has more life in it yet. Maybe next year
Rear discs starting to corrode. Monitor. Maybe next year to replace.
No rust to be worried about underneath.
