Hi All
Just wondering if anybody has had it when the brakes don't work the peddle goes all the way down and the brakes don't work but I'm not looseing any brake fluid?

Air in the system can do that...
(but then the question is: how did it get there?)

Theoretically speaking: if the tube between the reservoir and the master cylinder leaks air or gets clogged, or a combination, you may encounter strange behaviour. The same goes for the air vent in the cap of the reservoir.

And less probable, maybe: if you have already lost all your fluid, you won't see leakage until you fill up the reservoir.

Good luck and let us know when you find the solution.

First question has to be, did you (or anyone else) do any work on the Brakes before this happened?

When you say you haven't lost any fluid, do you mean the reservoir level is OK?

As reneduba said, a blocked feed hole or cap vent may be enough to cause this problem.

If it went very suddenly, it could be the Master Cylinder seal, although I think some M/Cs have a back-up seal, and it's also a dual circuit system, so the Brakes really shouldn't fail completely.

Could the pedal have become disconnected, or a part broken?
Does it feel like there's absolutely no resistance to it's movement?

Look underneath the steering column and check that everything is in place on the pedal box and moves as it should.
