Went out this morning to start the old bucket and it didn't start the first 2 or 3 attempts, in the way that you'd expect from a diesel with dying glowplugs in cold weather....

Anyway, it fires up and I get an "Engine Ctrl Faulty" message and the yellow light came on. It ran fine, got to my destination, turned it off and started it up again, no problems but still got message as above. Left it for 6 hours, started first time, got same message. Turned it off, started it up again 10 mins later, no problems and no warning message and yellow engine management light has now disappeared.

So....... first anyone got any ideas?

Second, do I get it plugged in either now or when it gets serviced in a few weeks or just adopt the, " if it's ok now leave it until it isn't ". I have had the glowplug warning lights on for about 2 years now and this is the first time I've ever had trouble starting it. It was also very wet last night, perhaps this has not mixed well with the famous Fiat electrics?
