Greetings! The rear of my baby has gotten downright embarrassing. The trailing arm bushing is gone on one side and the subframe bushings are downright crispy.

The same car I thought about getting the turbo from (2003) has a good rear suspension with disk brakes as opposed to my drums. Is this a pretty straight forward conversion or will it require major brake line/sensor/etc work? My subframe is quite rusty and I'm sure all the bolts are pretty much seized on the trailing arm. I can get the whole assemble for a really good price.

Don't know if it's a straight swap.
But trailing arms etc. are inexpensive to be found on Ebay as well.( that would be my choice)

My original Multi had rear Discs, my current one has Drums . . . I'd go for Drums every time now, given the option

The Calipers on the Multi are like many other cars, a nice idea in theory, but in practice are a complete pain in the a**e

The problem is the mechanical handbrake mechanism, and the pathetic return spring arrangement, barely adequate when new, after a few months of British weather, they're hopeless.
I replaced them on my original Multi, they were starting to seize up again in less than a year :bang:
