hi ya all
ok so my oil light still flashing caus i aint had the time to get
it sorted.
and i bought some new glow plugs caus the ones in
have done 85.000.
caus in the morn it turns over a few times before starting up.
but i've looked on you tube to try and find a pic or vid
to see how to change them:bang:
but can find nothing
but olly who did the cam belt said there a right bastard
has anyone took the job on and won ??????

My advice? If the glow plug light isn't on on the dash, don't touch 'em.

If the glow plug light is on on the dash but it's still starting fine, don't touch 'em. I ran around for months right through the winter with a glow plug light showing. She started fine no problem, didn't miss a beat.

You can actually test them to see which one is faulty then just replace that one. That's what my garage did. I don't know how though. Apparently they can be a bugger to remove, very tight.

If there is no indication that they are not working, then I recommend you leave them be, to be honest.

Just changed mine
You need a semi deep socket 10 mm
Swivel link thingy
Extension
Socket wrench
I used 1/4 drive
Super long needle nose pliers
And long thin arms lol
Firstly remove top plastic cover thingy
Then undo 2 10mm bolts holdin injector wiring on
Remove wires from injectors then lift up and over inlet manifold
Cambelt side
Remove 10mm bolt holding on dipstick
2 x 10mm nuts on fuel regulator
(The thing that the dipstick bolts through)
Start with the one nearest the Cambelt as it's the worst one to do
Remove wire from glow plug (behind injector and down a bit) using needle nose pliers
Slide socket swivel and extension onto glow plug
Feeding it in just under inlet manifold
Undo remove and replace refit wire
Do the same for numbers 2,3,4
These can all be reached from pass side
Refit fuel regulator dipstick
Injector wiring and cover
Job done
If your handy with tools shouldn't take half hour
Best of luck if you go for it

I also used a magnet pen to assist putting the socket onto glow plugs
And to take out and reinstate glow plugs

As above I only did mine as the light was on
