Hi Multifosi,

It seems that my hazard light switch is stuck, like it is glued solid.
Maybe the softened dashboard gunk causes it to be stuck but doubt that. I can't get the switch to move in any direction.
Before I get my screwdriver out to attack the bloody thing, I thought I'd ask the forum if this is a known problem. Sounds familiar to anyone?

Won't depress, or has gone in and stuck there?
You could try a few squirts of something like carb cleaner spray.
Try tapping it lightly with a small plastic mallet, or the end of a screwdriver handle.

It won't depress. I'm hesitant to press it with too much force because if it does depress, it may get stuck in that position and then I have a bigger problem...

I don't have carb cleaner spray at hand. Would WD40 bee good too?

WD40 may be OK, but you really want something that completely evaporates, and doesn't leave any residue.
There are also 'switch cleaner' sprays available.

I think I would still try the tapping.

The other option is to remove the console.

A little bit if knocking and some wd40 did the trick! The button now depresses just fine. However, the hazerd light don't come on...
I checked the fuse (#14 according to my manual - 10 ampere) and that one is fine.
What else could cause the hazerd lights to fail? Relay or broken switch perhaps?

More likely to be the switch itself I think, as you had the sticking problem with it in the first place.
What ever caused it to stick may also have stopped the contacts working.

I think you are correct. Thanks.

Funny thing is that when I turn on the indicator (left or right, doesn't matter) and then press the hazerd light button, the indicator stops working. Putting the lever back in neutral position and back up or down, the indicator starts blinking again.

Probably the switch causes a short circuit and that messes with the whole system.

Any suggestions where I could source a replacement switch?
