Hi all just wondered if anyone would be able to answer this I'm about to put my multi in for an mot but it's got a cracked front fog light, is this an mot fail or just an advisory?

The fog light works but the glass has a crack in it from top to bottom, just thought it would save me some money if it is an advisory rather than £20 for a new light!

The front fogs are not part of the mot...period

(As long as they are not smashed with jagged pieces which would be hazardous to pedestrians)

Ditto.
My previous Multi went through a couple of MOTs with one lens cracked, and a small chunk missing.

Maybe I'm lucky, but in 33+ years of daily driving I've only once encountered fog thick enough to need them.

I reckon we'd be better off without them to be honest, with so many p##ts using them as fashion accessories, having them on all the time, rain or shine! :bang:
As for all the t##ts that use the rear ones in the rain . . . aaaaaaaargh.

By the way, is a switch to turn them off a very expensive optional-extra on BMWs? :p
