The intercooler is part of the fuel inlet system. I think you might mean condensor (the thin thing that looks like a radiator, sat in front of the radiator).

If that's so, secondhand ones are about £40 but can be a bit of a gamble. The best I've seen new ones for is around £100. Try searching on ebay, widening the search area to Europe. I recall a couple of sellers in Germany doing them for a good price, and they will ship to the UK.

Secondhand compressors are £40 - £120+ dependent on age and condition. I bought a new one from here:

All of that said, have you had the system checked for leaks? That's worth doing before any of the above. It may be something as simple as a perished O ring.

Could be worth getting in an Aircon guy. I did this over the weekend.
For £55, he pressurised the system, detected a leak, replaced a perished 'o'ring and regassed the system. He then pressure tested it again. Freezing cold now. I can recommend this Guy he covers the Midlands I think.
