I have a 55 multipla that i got on friday and on saturday I've had it on a computer at the garage and they said it was injector #4 but then I get told by someone that it could be something to do with the coil pack and a quick change of plugs n leads might just do the job .... Does anyone know if this is right also if it is will it damage the engine if its used ? Any help would be amazing as i have bought a car with a few problems i wasnt told about but I've fell in love with my new car and she's been a little abused in the past by a previous owner and I would love to bring her up to scratch again thanks people :)

Hi what is the problem is it misfiring when driving or on tick over I take it the garage plugged it into a fault code reader.

Yes it's missing when driving and the garage said it was possibly injector #4 but someone said it can sometimes be something with a crack in the coil pack n to replace the plugs and leads .... But I'm not sure wether this is right or if I do that would it damage my engine if I'm driving it around .... Do you know if the injector been damaged would cause more problems if I'm using the car or if it would make the car pack up all together thanks for the reply :)

Hi I had the same problem with it misfiring quite bad I had no choice but to drive it a few days I have a code reader and mine said had a random misfire. The garage told me it could be injectors but before you go for a dear repair I would check the ht leads for any sign of damage. If there is no damage change the spark plugs if you still have the problem change the coil pack that's what I did and runs a1 again and its a cheapish fix and only take 5 mins to replace your self 3 bolts 4 ht leads and 1 electrical connector job done

The last time I had a problem with misfiring in my Multipla it turned out to be plug leads breaking down. The coil and plugs had already been changed and the miss was still there. Idiot garage owner had told me he checked the leads but hadn't. I put new leads on it was like a new car.

Hope this helps.
