Hi there all, new member here registered to ask for some help concerning my 2002 Petrol Multipla which sadly has stopped going into reverse. All the gears have gotten stiffer to select but are still working except for reverse which almost always will not select at all. The biting point on the clutch seems to be very high so I have been looking to adjust the clutch cable to see if that helps but I cannot find any information on doing so - can anyone tell me/show me how to? If so do you think this could cure the problem?

Thanks very much for any help given,
Cheers

Hello, Best thing to do is look at this site in the 'Gearbox and clutch' section. I can personally recommend 'MakingyourClutcheasiertopress.pdf' which is about oiling the clutch release arm under the bonnet. It really works and is easy to do.

Try greasing the linkage and cables that sit on the gearbox (under battery). Failing that it could be the slave cylinder on its way out. Nice cheap fix if it is.
