Has any one els had this problem: the wire that leads to the heater get hot when I have the fan on for a long time. It's the black wire only that one tho is there any reason for this or anything that causes it
Thanks
Jon

My heater/fan never worked at all when I bought my 04 plate I tried tracing the fault and it started working when I had probes in the terminals, run for about 3mins (connector block got very hot!!) then stopped working I disconnected the battery and cut and stripped the red and black thick supply cables and connected them using 30A connectors, now been running with no problems for about a month.

I've cut and crimped them together so there not in the connector block and they still get hot with long use of the fan

What size crimp connectors did you use? If they are still getting hot it sounds like you have a bit of resistance in the connectors.
