Sun shining, 21 degrees.
Oil filter, air filter and engine oil change.
Drained the gearbox, took off the inspection plate and found a bit of swarf blocking 4th gear. refilled gearbox.
Changed the rear shocks (only done them last year) this time I paid a bit more (20 quid each)
Replaced the crank pulley because it had play and I had a noise at idle (50 quid)
Replaced the front shock top mounts (20 quid each)
I still have a rattling sometimes at idle, now I think it's the air con pulley.
Car feels a lot better and no more knocking from the front end!!

Wow... great effort (y)

Just think how much that would have cost if you had sent it into a garage to be fitted.

I often watch Wheeler Dealers where Edd China does stuff like this, never seams to go to plan when I try anything like this!!

I actually did go to a garage, but I helped....it was easier with their vehicle lift and spring compressors etc.

I told them what to do with the 4th gear problem, and assisted by buying a few beers

labour cost was 20 quid :worship:

The pulley was slightly different, I had to buy shorter bolts.

Manodaly by any chance?

No, just a local motor factors, just about everybody sells fiat parts here.

There are usually three prices... Low, in between and high,

I never buy the lowest price now, the rear shocks that I took off were less than a year old and were crap!
