I appreciate this is probably not the way to do it but I was trying to get as much a cross section of opinion as possible so I've posted this in the Multipla Section as well:-

Hi All,

I've read most of the posts I can find about Airbag lights and none of these help. I previously had a Citroen Xantia which had the air bag light issue which was resolved by "waggling" the underseat connectors and I note this seems to be a common "Fix" on here but in this case it doesn't work.

My multipla has had a warning light on since purchase last year but when the MOT comes around in Jan 2014 it will fail (I narrowly avoided it this year).

I've had a friend who is an Auto Electrician put a "Snap-On" diagnostics kit on it and it just says "NS or OS front sensor error" which isn't much help.

I've been a customer of my local Fiat Dealership in the past and am on good terms with them, they have offered a free run on the Fiat Diagnostic so I'm hopeful this will shed more light on the issue.

Is there anyone who knows anything about these on here?

Rightly or wrongly I'll probably post this in the TechTalk section as well.

Any help greatly appreciated, ta

So just an update on the Airbag issue:-

I went to my local'ish dealer yesterday who by the way are very good. They spent about an hour with the Multi hooked up to their dealer laptop which eventually spat out the following codes:-

Passenger side airbag squib - O.C.
Driver front side impact sensor 1 - S.C. to Ground
Driver front side impact sensor 1 not feasible

Now I thought I'd checked the under seat wires on the passenger side seat but maybe not as once the technician had re-seated the connector the first fault disappeared which just left 2 and 3.
We think this maybe either a faulty sensor or faulty connection to the sensor, unfortunately the technician was not 100% sure of it's location so he has asked us to give them a call later this morning once he's had chance to look it up on the service computer, something he couldn't do yesterday as it was getting late in the day.

So it does make a difference getting it on a dealer specific diagnostic device.

I'll make sure this thread goes to completion and let you know what happens.
