Just been reading a few posts ref the gearbox mounts breaking and it sounding like the engine has fell out.
Thought I would check mine on my 04 jtd.
Guess what. Huge crack in it.
Where's the best place to get one.
It's the passenger side mount on the gearbox. In front of it.
Also how easy to fit doing it on the drive at home.

Easy enough to do, try and get hold of one from an early model. Reason being, the later ones like yours are made from aluminium which swells with corrosion to cause the crack you have whereas the early ones are made from steel and are stronger.

...get hold of one from an early model . . . early ones are made from steel and are stronger.
I'll second that.
The Alloy body of the mounting block on mine had split, due to corrosion.
When I removed the block and mounting from the gearbox, it was clear it was totally knackered.
The casing crumbled into three or four pieces when I tried to undo the main bolt, and I had to cut the bolt and use a club-hammer to remove it from the mounting, it was so corroded.

My local Fiat dealer quoted me over £100 (don't know exactly how much as my ears went into auto-shutdown when they heard the 'hundred'), as did the only other local place that listed them.
Took a gamble with a used one off ebay, was off a '97 1800 16V Brava, which looked to be pretty close.
It fitted . . . eventually!
The holes for the mounting were slightly out, but a little filing/slotting sorted that.
The anti-rotation ribs on the boss were also 90° out, so I had to cut fresh slots in the Gearbox mount fitting.
Also, the Brava uses a 12mm bolt, whereas the Multi's is a 10mm, so I had to get a new bolt, and drill out the mount to suit.

Soon after, someone informed me about these guys...

They are absolutely brilliant, couldn't be more helpful if they tried.
The prices on the website show as £s, but are actually the prices in Lithuanian Litai.
So that Mount is approx £30.
P&P is very reasonable too.
Worth firing the guy an e-mail, he may be able to supply a Steel one that matches the Alloy one.
I'm sure, from all the research I did, that some Alfa Steel mounts are the same.

Ordered one of fleabay. 55 delivered. Half the cost of fiat dealer.
Just have to drive steady till it arrives.

I have had a similar problem with a failed gearbox mounting and contacted the Lithuanian company you recommend. They arranged for a replacement part to be manufactured and delivered, this took about two weeks and cost approximately £30. Very good service. Very pleased they could provide the part because when I took the car to the garage for repair I was told that Fiat had no stock.

I have just been told fiat no longer stock a gearbox mount for a 2008 multipla. Not that it is out of stock but they no longer stock it. ( I tried two dealers ) I have had five fiat cars the multipla will be the last.

You'd be a mug to buy the mount direct from Fiat anyway. The mounts were in short supply about a year ago, but they can be obtained relatively easily from car factors now, at a fraction of the price Fiat would charge.
