Help and advice needed please, complete novice at work here!

I have a X reg multipla with the rear wheel leaning in at the top - common fault. We have been told the rear axle needs to be replaced as the suspension is not independant but told by someone else just need to replace the radial arm etc.
Think we are totallyconfused.com!!

Any help on offer would be really appreciated!

new rear axle??
yes all you need to buy is a radius arm repair kit(y)
is a common fault on multiplas, there is a guide on how to do it here but is a pig of a job to do
do both sides as if one is gone the other wont be far off
repair kit is avalaible from shop4parts and if you are a fiat forum member you get a discount too:slayer:

...We have been told the rear axle needs to be replaced as the suspension is not independent...
If a garage/mechanic told you that, then definitely don't get any work done by them

Plenty of topics about it one here, start with this one...
Rear arm bearings

As long as the tyre isn't rubbing on the wheel arch (or anything else), then it's OK to shop around for parts and someone to do it.
It should be done soon-ish, but it's not super-critical, unless the MOT's due.
Having said that, mine were totally knackered and the MOT didn't pick it up, depends how and where they jack it up.

Good luck.
