hi all the gearbox selector has snapped ontop of the gearbox,
replacement part is available but it looks astho the whole box need stripping to install it
i do not have that kind of ability
is there another way to get the part out or a quick fix?
have tried to weld and it just seems to break after a few days
i have attached the emap image and the red line is where its broken,
last ditch attempt before i just scrap the car

Can you not get hold of one from a scrap yard?

yes i could get a new gearbox but i honestly am unable to fit it and couldnt afford to have one fitted.
i wonders if theres a trick to changing just the selector .
if maybe a whole could be cut in gearbox to release the rod and allow to change

I know this is a long shot, but did you ever
find a way of getting selector shaft out of
gearbox on multipla. exactly the same
happened to girlfriends car.

Wouldn't bother..just get a second hand gearbox and put it on..I had aright nightmare trying to even split the box apart
