Took my multipla for mot today at kwik fit today and the guy says "oh is a fiat, dont sit and wait, you gonna have to leave it with us all day because it will fail the mot!!"
Told the guy to f### o## and took it somewhere else (HIQ)
car failed on silly things like track rod end and some welding on sill were previous owner jacked it up wrong...also one seatbelt buckle decided not to work and emissions were ok but engine is too smokey
Advisory on rear leaning tyre which im gonna sort out anyway with a new radius arm kit
everything is pretty easy to sort out as i know suspension was knocking but what can i do for the smoke?? I have put some diesel treatment on tank but what else can i do?

Take it somewhere where you aren't being followed and drive it like you stole it for 5 minutes. If possible, take it straight to the test centre afterwards.

Is the EGR working ok?

Why would you even want to take it to Kwik Fit in the first place

Well i was thinking same
im gonna put some diesel treatment and drive hard before mot and make sure is nice and hot before they test it again...i dont think it was that hot when they test it
anyone can reccomend a good diesel cleaner?
egr is ok i think were abouts is located in 110 jtd??
And yes i dont know what i was thinking when i took it to kwik fit...lol

For diesel cleaner, I use Miller Sport Diesel (it's called Miller-something-else now, can't remember the exact name) at double strength in every third or fourth tankful and it seems to help.

cost me £400 ish but now i have 1year mot on my bug multipla
Gotta say that the new mot certificate is pretty crap...is just a white piece of paper...
