The Back Windows won't go back up on my fiat multipla 1.9 JTD the kids put them down the other day as we driving because it was hot when i parked up before getting out they stopped working, a couple of days before we had rainfall and some water came through the sunroof. Has anybody got any ideas how to get them working again as we are due rain here today don't fancy a wet car?

This is a really long shot but try holding down the "lock" button on your key-fob... may get lucky....

Thanks for that but still no luck changed the fuse for rear windows aswell anybody got any idea because the sky is about to open my end

hi kazzer. you havn't by mistake pressed the 'main switch' on the dash by the speedo have you? this will stop both rear windows being operated. we have to isolate ours to stop the kids opening the windows. it may be that you pressed it once the windows were open and hadn't realised. its the one nearest the driver next to heated rear window

Thats the first thing i checked, wish i did have it on though would have stopped the kids putting the windows down.Have just taken it to my mechanic and showed him the fuse box and the diagram in the handbook and it should be fuse 24 but there is no fuse 24 and no wiring for it does anybody know anything about this if it is hidden in a different place?

I had the same problem turned out my fuse carrier was 180 degrees out so what should should have been fuse 24 wasn't there.
My advice is check all the fuses in the carriers just to eliminate that.
Good luck

Hi guys,my mechanic is miffed as to where the fuse for the rear window is,surely somebody has an idea this has been mentioned before in the threads in my handbook it is fuse 24 that needs changing but there is no fuse 24 location in other threads it mentions different fuse numbers that people can't find. Please please if someone know where these hidden fuses are can they let me know. Thanks in advance

Have you checked the all the fuses in the drivers side glove compartment (under removable tray)?

hi momoe yes i pulled them all out yesterday and checked them, all were fine

Check the fuses, all of them, 1 at a time with a multi-meter while they are still in place & ignition set to "On".

You will need a good earth / ground for the black (negative) meter probe.
Each fuse should have a tiny exposed metal piece you can get to in the plastic backing.
With the meter set to 12 volts D.C. range try both ends of each fuse for voltage, these fuses can break & look fine to the naked eye, a proper in situ voltage check is the best way.

Anyhow... tell all the rest of us where these 2 extra fuses were just for future reference!
