Hi.
Yet another pulley failure !..... How many can there be???:bang:
This time apparently it's the alternator bearings gone?
Can anyone tell me if the alternator needs a clutch type pulley or normal fixed pulley? as the difference in price seems to be up to £100 !
It's a 10 year old 1.9 JTD multipla 'with aircon',
I read 'cooky257's post on replacing alternator:
fiatforum.com/multipla/229971-replacing-alternator-jtd-115-a.html
Very helpful for telling garage what I need, but now they ask the pulley question...?
The best quotes i have had so far are from 'Warwick Car & Commercial Spares'. :
re-cons
with normal pulley £127.50 +vat
with clutch type pulley 204.50 +vat
Re-con from local dealer: £261.60 inc. part number: 71721106
Just need to know which one to go for....any clues??
Many thanks
Steve.
P.S. can anyone post a multipla pulley diagram so I can idntify them myself?
I was sure the pulley which looked out of line was the tensioner NOT the alternator?
