I have posted this problem under another heading but seem unable to edit the title so have posted a new entry as the problem has manifested into a slightly different proble.
Its a 53 plate 1.6 petrol which was giving an abs/eds error with multiple warning lights and error beeps and the engine seeming to stop/restart.
Car went to garage and only errors found was a problem with one of the coils.
I replaced coil pack and leads/plugs problem still with us.
Car behaves when driving ie 70 mph down the motorway but on the last occasion when exiting onto the slip road I had to slow down quickly due to the short slip road and then all the lights on the dash on the dash light up and the engine appears to stop. As the car was still travelling I turned the key to the off position and then turned it again to restart which it did without any problems.
The second time was when crossing from a side road across a couple of lanes of traffic (quick acceleration) and then braking again before a roundabout, again with the same effect.
All the other times it has been at slow speed when under braking or turning sharply.
My only thought that maybe a loose connection some where!! I have checked the earth cables and they both seem sound and secure.
