hi guys,
had a oil light on while driving so put 1 ltr in dipped 1/2 hour after stopping and level 'apered' ok. on starting now I get a flashing oil light [red] for 1/2 min only, then nothing else until start again.
just had service and they reported the same fault to me as happening after they serviced it.
only 47k on the clock, 19 jtd, 06 reg
ideas please......faulty sensor...where is it?

What oil did they put in? If they put to high a viscosity grade in there is a chance that is throwing up the warning. Was the new Oil filter of a good quality?

Remember the Oil warning is for low oil PRESSURE not necessarily low Oil level, although the 2 can be associated it should be obvious when dipped.

the light was flashing for 1/2 min at start up then goes out. this was happening 'before' the service and is still doing it now, wondered where the sensor was.........can't get into the eper section ...seems to be down..... to find where it is...............was going to change the sensor to see if this was the prob.
service done according to man specs according to the service agent.

hi guys,
well I have just rest my flashing oil light............ I used the 1.6 program .....had to use the '02 jtd' choice for my 06 nose job. but all seems well now.
the new version wants you to pay to do this but the 1.6 does it free
