Had the flashing oil warning light come on this week. Carolyn to the Multi to one of our local dealerships. And walked out after being quoted £90 for a oil and filter change  Does anyone know a good Fiat specialist in Doncaster/Rotherham that are able to change the oil and reset the light or any other alternatives. I would do this myself if it was not for the warranty. The car was only serviced 4 months ago and is a 57plate JTDm Eleganza.

Cheers

Yes I'm sorry to say it is - Who says MS haven't got the O/S market by the b*lls?
I try to use Linux as much as I can but unfortunately a Windows O/S is still required for a great number of things such as this.

Go here. https://www.fiatforum.com/multipla/184131-oil-light-flashing.html This link provides an explanation to what you have, how to fix it and what a bloody fiddle it is!

Basically it can be reset without an oil change, provided you are not due for one. It is an assumed index created in the ECU. You're not turning out the light, you're resetting the index. While they're there they can reset your service indicator and your DPF index thingy too.

They are all a bit of a nonsense but useful for diagnostics and service information.
