Problem 1:
A new door has been installed with new second hand window and guidance and so on.

The window used to run all the way down or up when i holded the buttons for a second or two.
After the installation i have to keep pushing the buttons till i reach a wanted position.
So now it won't run all the way down or up anymore when i push or pull the button for a couple of seconds.

For as far as i know the window, the motor and guidance hardware are second hand.
The plastic mounting shield is used from the original one, don't know if that's the case for the actual buttons.
Anyone has a clue what this is all about?

Second problem,
Another mirror is installed, this new one doesn't have the parking feature anymore, only the mirror on the other side has the electric parking feature.

Any thoughts on these issues, forgotten some connectors?
Different feature's?
Faulty hardware?

My Multipla has got the round FIAT logo on the front between the big lights, the used items which are installed now don't have the Fiat logo but the dashes.

Would be nice what's going on here, i used the "semi automatic" window feature very very much and want i back but what's causing this?

hi mate,
there are mirrors which dont have the park motor, cheaper, the park ones are £90+ each you have the cheaper one?
as for the window are you using the electrics from the old door?
on ours only the driver door has the auto up/down the passenger window is like yours is at present.
regards
don

I think i now have the cheaper mirror.
I think i can get my original one back but that only makes sence if it iseasy to install.

I don't really know which electrics are used.
The original one was pretty much broken but i have the motor from it.

Which electric part exactly takes care of the up/down feature, the buttons, the engine of??

Thanks but i understand your answer is mainly for the mirror and not for the window going up/down, well read it again and you think it could be the motor (the window up/down problem).

Again lost some amount of money with almost nothing showing for it.

The mirror is changed again, so i have my orignal mirror on it BUT...

It still hasn't got the parking mode because my Multipla originally has a wireloom with more features.
So Fiat uses different wirelooms in their Multipla models.
Not only hasn't the simple version the parking mode for the mirror but also the open door warning doesn't seem to be in the simple wireloom.

The trick some people told me is to open the window for 30 seconds so it resets some electronics but that hasn't worked for me.
I havel lubed the window rubbers with silicone spray and now the window opens faster but it still stops the second i let the button go.
They told me perhaps the security engages and stops when i let the button go.

I am not that handy, and would pay for installing the original wireloom but i only want to pay 1-2 hours of work if it is that wireloom.
It's quite expensive, and if it's not sure that would work than i don't want to do that.

For as far as i know the window mechanism has all it's connectors connected, it's not like with the mirror where the simple mirror has one connector and the original one has got two.
So personnally i don't think it's the wireloom.
That damned door already costed me over 500 pounds and still half of it doesn't work as it's supposed to.
Don't care btw for the open door warning, even with the missing parking feature on the mirror i can do without but the window argh, i need that feature too much.

So the motor?

It isn't the window up/down button either, that has been changed and didn't solve the problem.

About he window motor, i have the original one but only the motor, even the cord is cut off.
Seem like a hell of a task replacing only that motor piece, right?

try open window and hold button for 10 sec, then close window and hold button for 10 sec.

Doesn't work.

Also...lights don't always turn on anymore when they are supposed to.
I need to switch them on several times before they go on.
If on they stay on.
Weird

It sounds like the door and electrics you have bought are from an earlier model. I have a 2000 model, and it does not have a door open alarm, nor does the window go up all the way when the switch is pressed for a few seconds: I have to hold it until it closes/opens completely.
Also, the folding mirrors were not fitted to SX models unless they had aircon (the aircon needs the temp sensor) and so the doors for an early SX would have had different internal wiring. There are also 7-pin and 9-pin versions of the mirror, as I and Shop4Parts discovered....
