Hey
Any one knows how to take out the front-middle seat in order to replace a cable?
Thanks
Itamar

Hi...Booklady left me a post, as we want to also remove this seat, to put in a 12v cool box....she states her husband has done it.....all three front seats have to be removed to do this . Ugh !! I also read on another post that you have to watch which holes are used on replacing the two seats.
Apparently, not something one would want to do on a regular basis !
:)

Its been posted on here somewhere do a search , Madnanny is right as i think there is a second set of holes poss for the passenger seat as it has to be moved accross but make sure you dont turn the ignition on whilst doing it as it may trigger an airbag light if you have the wiring unplugged.

I do this regularly as I often shift motorbikes in my multi, I remove all of the seats except the drivers seat, I have a special spanner for the job, it's a 16mm jointed ratchet spanner, although ordinary socket sets can be used, the bolts are a little bit aukward without this.
First remove the outer front seats, taking care to disconnect the airbag connector on the passenger side, then remove the heater channels from the middle seat, you'll see how they are fixed on, then you can get to the bolts holding down the middle seat. There's no problem having the airbag disconnected, the warning light comes on but it's no problem, I've driven for 100's of miles like this. It would be possible to rigg up a plug to complete the circuit to prevent the light coming on if desired, I must admit that having the warning light on the dash a bit of a pain. I've never seen the way a fridge is fitted, so I can't comment on fridge removal.

I think you should be able to replace the cable without taking it out anyway or do as ive done on the middle rear seat and take the plastic cover off and fit a set of molegrips onto the leaver :D its lazy but it works a treat.

you do need to take the seat out to replace the cable, but we have applied the same solution as you!!! I have a set of pliers in the back door pocket :D
