so far i have fitted new brakes pads on front, new shoes at the rear, new nearside wishbone, nearside rear hub. New rear wheel cylinder and a bulb in the fog light ( think its the wrong one as its not very bright does anyone know exactly what type of bulb? )

so i need 2 more tyres and i have a second hand shocker in the back yard what im worried about is the advisories any idea how to combat this???

Advisory's are just that and do not indicate a fail :D.
Squirt some waxoil or if your cheap the oil from your last oil change on the advised rusty places and be done with , 30cm corrosion dont sound to good though , this car hasnt been in a flood has it?.

no not been in a flood or anything mate managed to weld the 2 areas for £30 quid so cant complain about that and its his best mate thats doing the MOT so they should be fine,

ive had cars in the past and advisories tend to lead to major probs next year.

take it a previous owner has had flood/water probs in the past??

If its came from a coastal area they can suffer a lot, get paint on the welded bits asap because as soon as its welded it rusts.

dunno much about welding but looks like the guy coated it in primer as its a dull matt grey coulour and finish to it,

are the advisories likely to come into play for next years MOT as i had a look round the car but couldnt see any visible signs

He does sound very meticulas but thats good in a safety kinda way but if you cannot find what he is talking about:confused:.
