started to relace the rear arm just now already ran into my first problem

my multi has the drum discs at the rear how do u remove the drums from the hub?? i noticed 2 prongs sticking out with what looks like 12mm heads at the bottom do these hold the 2 parts together or os there something ive over looked???

Im not takin the mick but have you released the handbrake?
If yes whack the drum left side and right as the inner can wear a ridge where the shoes get caught on.

yeah i aint used my handbrake for over a year now so i know its not that, the front section of the drum spins freely by hand wasnt sure if there was a bolt or screw somewhere that i had missed

its the same on the replacement arm i have the drums still on there but cant get it off

The 4 bolts for your wheels do most of the work but the 2 bits that stick out of the face need to unscrew to remove it, they are quite soft so be carefull .
They are tapered and go in about 20mm.

cheers thought it was they 2 pins sticking out will have a blast at them shortly gonna have something to eat first

is it easy enough to just take of the old wheel bearing etc and slide it onto the new arm?

Sorry ive just re read your original post and realised they are what you where refaring to:eek: yep remove them.
I removed mine to fit spacers for my old wheels and one rounded off so if it happens its not the end of the world just take a hammer to them knocking them up then down they should free off but dont hit too hard as they can snap off.
As long as you have at least one to put back on you should be ok, they are only to centralise the drum on the hub.

Yes but cannot remember the full details  it was a while ago...... Think its just the large nylock nut in the centre once the drum is off although these nyloc nuts are made to be used once:(.
Im actually wondering if the hub could be removed with the drum and brakes in place:confused::confused::confused:

Anyone? may just be a case of removing the centre cap and undoing the large nut but prob not that simple.

cheers for the help there gonna try whip them off the now let u know how it goes

managed to get the front off take it just a case of batter off the back plate??

Really cannot remember sorry:eek: dont want to say yes and something gets broken.
