Hi,

The seal is going on the curved rear quarter panel glass on one side.

How easy is it to renew, where is the best place?

Would the likes of a mobile autoglass do this sort of thing as I assume it's pretty quick and easy if you have the right parts and you are used to doing glass work?

I suspect they are bonded, if they are then you can buy the sealant and do it yourself but a lot of breaker yards allways know someone who fits screens and it can be quite cheap to just pay to have it done.
Ask booklady if her partner has any glass out ? at least youll save on buying new and should be able to see if its bonded or not but suspect it is as its curved.

Are you covered on your insurance? Would be a shame if it broke ;)

I have had a glass only claim already this year.

Besides my employers as the largest insurer in Europe would probably frown upon me committing insurance fraud especially as I spend half my life dealing with motor fraud as it is.

It is bonded, it has not fallen off but is lose and lets in water in extreme circumstances.

presumably they would reuse the original glass rather than fit a new one? Thus only the kit and labour need to be charged?
