Hi, I'm new to this so if I'm doing something wrong apologies! Have a Multipla jtd 1.9. Glow plug/lamp light lit up on dash board 6 months ago and Fiat charged me £70 to attach to computer plus another £50 to change one glow plug. Now light is flashing again! Have tried local garages but they say they don't have the equipment to test/change the thing. Any suggestions or is this one thing I have to ask Fiat to do at vast expense? Is it best to change all glow plugs at same time?

Hi, about 30 seconds. I haven't noticed anything obviously wrong with the car either and its been flashing for about a month.

Don't worry. If it flashes for 60 seconds then it means something has actually failed. Currently it's just below optimal. You could replace all 4 glowplugs and find its a wiring/sensor issue. p.s. replacing glowplugs is very difficult on a JTD. Cylinder 1 is almost impossible.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Nice to see this forum works!

Had a Marea 1.9JTD with the same issue. Started first time, every time even in minus 5.

Had it checked by my local specialist (F.O.C) and they said as above, that it could be many things and not to worry until it actually became an issue.
