I currently have the 15" alloy wheels as fitted by Fiat in Factory with 195/65/15 V tyres on a 2005/55 plate. I would like to fit either 16" alloy wheels or 17" alloy wheels. Do different size alloy wheels from fiat have the same offset?? Any body know what size tyre must be fitted to a 16" or 17" wheel, so that no rubbing occurs?? I was thinking that a 205 or 215 width tyre, but I know that the offset must be correct first. Any help or advice would be great.
:):)

Hi im running some ugly fiat coupe wheels on mine as it came with them on (goes and runs to see tyre size:eek:) and they have 205/50/16's and are fine, i think any wider and the rears would rub on the inside edge but i couldnt say what the offset is for these though.

Hello
Dont forget to notify your insurance if you change your wheels.
As it could invalidate your insurance if you had a future claim.

I picked up a set of ropey alloys of off ebay for £40 today (picked em up so add another £12 for diesel)....2 of em have brand new pilots on !!!!!

I spent the afternoon sanding and giving them a very quick spray....I already had some laquer left over from another job so it only cost me £4.50 for a can of wheel silver....they're not perfect but they'll do my cheapo multipla just fine.

Are you selling your 'old wheels' ?

I have a 2002 Multipla and need one of the '8 spoke' style wheels after I disappeared into a pot hole at the weekend and damaged one !

Can anyone help ? Tried DA Motors, no luck there.

Put a claim into the local council responsible for the section of road and get a new one, it does take time but its your right and it should not happen.

Nice one. (y)
Think they will look good.

I am currently looking to put some bigger, alloy wheels on mine, I have the standard 15" wheels with trims (n). Wanted to get some off ebay, could you advise exactly what I should be looking for i.e. dimensions, as I aint got a clue which ones would fit and which ones wouldn't.

Thanks

Oh yeah, also what about the spare? If you get a spare same size will that still fit under boot via the spare wheel jack or do you have to carry a spare in the boot?

A conventional size spare will fit under the boot as a replacement for the space saver, but IIRC you need to use that yellow adaptor that is in the jack tool kit with an alloy spare.

I HAVE FITTED 20mm concentric spacers to my multipla JTD ELX which convert THE PDC FROM FIAT TO VAUXHALL/VOLKSWAGEN FIT to give a bigger choice of ALLOYS and cheaper ones too.It is also lowered using PI springs, this has the effect of pushing the wheels right to the corners of the vehicle for better road handling and a cooler stance.215/45 17" tyres.

I don't what any of that means, but it sounds so good I want to do it! (y)

Its like bolting a Vauxhaul hub to your Fiat hub in a safe way so you can fit other manufacturers wheels.

where did you get your spacers from?

I have found some but they are very expencive.
