Had my multi 1.9 eleganza since November 06 from new. Trouble is i can't remember a month gone by without some niggle or another. Car went in garage today for faulty painwork on top of door, which has taken ages to resolve. Also handbrake has been seizing on partly during this cold spell so they said that would also be sorted.Suspension making a squelching noise when car goes over sleeping police bumps. On top of that the cd player has been skipping over small road bumps but they wont do that as it's out of warranty now ( yr only ) they checked it but say it's an unknown fault, whatever that means. The engine management light has been on and reset no fewer than 5 times. This hasn't occured for about 3,000 miles so hopefully thats sorted. The heater element on the door mirrors was faulty and replaced with a new mirror, then the interior hatch trim was coming off so they replaced the complete panel due to the glue on it. They have phoned me in the last half hour to say, unbelievably, that they need to replace the handbrake cable completely and the drop links need replacing so now they need the car as they have got to order the parts. Have i got a dud ? I have had a Strada, Uno Turbo MK1 A bravo and a punto and between them all i haven't had half the problems of my Multi. (n) Any views ?

yeah got the same problem with the hanbrake cable, having it changed next tuesday, ive had loads of problems with my multipla, new clutch and both rear wheel bearings while my car was under warranty or so i thought.the warranty was not worth the paper it was written on,after many phone calls and email to and i wont hesitate saying there name, norris brothers tamworth,i have found myself out of pocket by about 600 quid thanks to there mistake in the warranty documentation.they told me they would sort the problem out but never have, thanks to these cowboys i will never buy another fiat and have since bought a seat as a second car which to be honest hasnt caused me any problems at all,i have always brought fiats in the past and this just shows what an impact these so called used and approved dealers can have on the general public, dont get me wrong i still and always will love fiat but it is no longer a car i can take a risk in buying especially after the way i have been treated.other faults include -random fault messages which i just ignore, knocking noises from suspension, electric windows and locking not working-disconnect battery to sort problem, numerous sensor problems which caused my car to cut out at traffic lights-and also a nice 500 pound repair bill-dont use supermarket diesal apparently it clogs up some valve or other, tyres wearing uneavenly, sreeching noises when travelling down motorways.oh and the lovely air bag warning light that is constantly on,god knows what would happen if i actually ever had the misfortune to have a crash.appart from that thats it i think,2 years of wonderful motoring in a car i cant wait to get rid of.good luck

Thanks Andy. I also have the dreaded tyre wear problem on mine. Will they reset the tracking if they are renewing the drop links etc ?

Worst car I ever owned. See my other posts regarding all the problems I have had with Clutch/Gearbox.

Fiats Customer Service is non existant. First Fiat I have ever bought and will be last.
